Beyond Us is a really special track to me. Having worked with him on “In Treatment” and “A Kid” as well having produced his “Gone” EP I feel Louis always sings in a way that really inspires me and always sends shivers down my spine. This track started late 2017 as an instrumental and thought it would be perfect for Louis. It wasn't until 2019 we finished it and it was definitely worth finishing as I believe we have one of our finest tracks and hopefully the first of many new ones.
Louis - I opened the email with the track like a kid with a kinder egg. It's always something special when he sends some new material over n it'd been a while since we made the last tracks so I was eager.
I've always felt a connection with Kirk in his music and this track just seemed to flow n grow naturally. It came at just the right time to; when life gets heavy so does the ink flow.
It's a real nice summer-ee track, we put in the grind to get it just right for your eardrum pleasure.
